I’m not sure what I have been doing lately.

Life seems to be whizzing by at the speed of light. I blink and suddenly it is Tuesday and I haven’t blogged in who knows how long. I haven’t mopped the floors. I can’t remember the last time the Baby had a shower. I haven’t cooked dinner in days and days. People have left me awards that involve coffee. (Really! Go look in the right hand corner!) People have had birthdays. Where has the time gone and what have I been doing?

I would like to say that I have been doing something big and important but the truth is that I haven’t done anything. Nope. Nothing. I’ve been doing some sleeping. And possibly eating. I can’t really remember.

Oh wait! I baked cookies tonight. That’s something. I didn’t really want to bake cookies. I’m tired and tiredness and hot ovens don’t usually mix. But when I promise a cookie prize for leaving a comment, I follow through. The problem was that I didn’t know where to send the cookies. First I wanted to send them to Bookmama for giving the advice that I intend to follow. I love FastLane’s blog names for her family, I’ll probably go with something along the same lines. Except I’ll have to think along the lines of Cinderella and Ariel. Then, I thought I would send them to FastLane for actually thinking up the idea in the first place. Still, I wanted to honor Lora’s reference to jensmith.blogspot.com for becoming one of the biggest clicks on this blog. Thank god it wasn’t a porn site. Perhaps next time you could look at the site before naming a random blog? I was all ready to pack up the cookies and send them off to her when it occured to me that she didn’t actually recommend a new set of names for my kids. I think that disqualifies her. You know, if this was actually a real contest in any way. Which it isn’t. This is me trying to send some cookies away so that I won’t eat them all myself.

Then I decided to screw it all and go with a random drawing.

And guess what? Lora won anyways.

Congratulations Lora! If you would like to claim your tin of chocolate chip cookies, email me with your address (jen at followingtheroad dot com). If you don’t want to claim your cookies, I am sure that I can find a munchkin or two to eat them for you.

Did I mention that they are chewy, crunchy, AND chocolaty. Mmmm… Chocolate. You know you want them, Lora.

I had forgotten what the question was :) I think you should name them “rock” and “hard place” :)

I’m the worst. One thousand apologies to jen smith, wherever she may be.

Not that I don’t want your cookies, because I do, but I’m sure that you have a few little mouths who are dying for them. If they are still bite-free, I’ll be more than happy to take them. I’ll email you right away!

    Aw, maaaan …

Just kidding. The last thing I need is a tin of cookies! :)

Hope you have fun naming your kids for a second time!
