My house is about to float away. The amount of rain falling from the sky is astounding.
One of my children is happily watching the Fairly OddParents while the other is in the kitchen crying about not being able to watch Elmo. Later, One will be happily watching Elmo while the other will be on her bed crying about not being able to watch Hannah Montana. This is what I like to call Equal Opportunity Parenting.
In the last two hours, my power has gone out twelve times. This is putting a serious dent in the Fairly OddParents story line.
Today, I will be making chocolate chip cookies from my MIL’s recipe. It’s the Toll House recipe with a few tweaks. They are the best cookies in the world. How long do you think I can go without eating one?
The wind is blowing so hard that the rain is coming down parallel to the ground.
I’ll also be watching the Super Bowl commercials. What? You think I care about the Patriots and the Giants? Uh. No. But the commercials make it worthwhile television viewing. If the power holds out long enough.
I went out in the cold and rain in my slippers to take this picture justĀ for you. It’s the muddy, rainy day version of this. Enjoy!

Happy Sunday!

OOOH rainy days and toll house. Yum. I am about to make some brownies with toll house chips myself.
We do the one kid whines thing all the time here too, but sometimes I get two of them whining at the same time and only one happy.
I hope your power holds and you don’t float away. We are going to get rain the next few days and all our snow is going to melt and we might float all the way to California. I am hoping that if that happens, I can snag a cookie?
I hope you have 2 of everything!
